Senior Infants had the most wonderful day celebrating all things books and reading!
Our morning began with some of our lovely grown-ups joining us in the classroom for CAPER (Children and Parents Enjoy Reading). It was so special to welcome parents in to share stories with the children and help us start our day surrounded by books.
Later, Senior Infants were kindly invited to visit the Fethard Horse Country Experience Museum, where the children learned a little about the history of the town of Fethard and its famous connection to horse racing and Coolmore. During our visit, we were treated to a fantastic storytelling session with Séamus, where the children also had the opportunity to use their imaginations to help create a story together as class, all before being treated to a yummy hot chocolate and brownie! ☕️🍫
A big thank you to the Fethard Horse Country Experience for inviting us - the children had a brilliant time!
Well done to all the boys and girls for making such a fantastic effort with their World Book Day costumes, and thank you to all the parents for helping to make the day so special.
