Green-Schools is an international environmental education programme, environmental management system and award scheme that promotes whole school action towards a sustainable environment through the implementation of the Seven Step methodology.

We earned our first Green Flag for Litter and Waste in 2013.

We earned our second Green Flag for Energy Conservation in 2015

We earned our third Green Flag for Water and conservation in May, 2016. This is a fantastic achievement and we thank all the hard work put in by all pupils, especially members of the Green Schools’ Team, led by Mrs. Gleeson and Mrs. Kenny. We showed that we RESPECT water:

R: Repaired leaky taps

E: Educated ourselves and the community

S: Studied water around the world

P: Put in push taps and a water butt

E: Enjoyed water awareness day

C: Checked for leaks

T: Travelled to Clashawley River and Cabra Wetlands
