In May we visited Our Lady's Grotto in the Convent Garden. We learned all about Mary, the mother of God and said the Hail Mary at the Grotto.
Later in May, we visited the Church as part of another Religion lesson. The children were able to find and name all the items in the Church that they had learned about in class. We practiced blessing ourselves with the Holy Water when entering and leaving the Church. We also practiced genuflecting before the Altar. We sat on the pews and labelled all the items that we could see and said our prayers. Here are a few photos of items we learned about.
