Today we undertook one of the most unusual and wonderful art lessons, where the children learned all about one of the most famous sculptors and painters of all time, Michaelangelo. The myth is that Michaelangelo painted the ceiling of the Cistene Chapel lying on his back so we decided to re-create one of the most famous images from his ceiling painting on our backs, the underneath our desks!! This lesson did not disappoint! This task proved to be challenging yet fascinating to us all and the final result was very impressive! The children embraced the lesson and we had some artistic looking children going home this afternoon!!!😂 Well done children!
