Recently we learned about solids, liquids and gasses. We also learned about mixtures and solutions and decided we would try separating solids and liquids in the classroom. We gathered samples of muddy, dirty water from the school yard and set about making our own filtration system using stones of various sizes and filters made from various materials such as covid masks, Jay cloths and coffee machine filters.
