We had a wonderful time on our school tour. The children in Senior Infants and Junior Infants had a super day, packed full of fun activities! First we visited the Fire Station. This was great fun and we learned lots about all the hard work the fire fighters do. We got to see all the equipment needed for many rescue situations. Then we saw all the fire engines and even got to sit inside. We were up so very high! The children asked lots of interesting questions and listened really carefully to the answers given. We definitely have some budding fire fighters in our class! Finally, the best part, we got to use the fire hose. This was such fun! The fire fighters gave everyone a lollipop and we waved goodbye to the three fire fighters who showed us around their place of work. We learned so much!
