Our U13 Ladies football team travelled to Thurles on Thursday, 13th October for their blitz. They played a very strong team from Gaelscoil Durlas. All was level at half time but a stronger second hand performance for the Gaelscoil sealed a win for the hosts.
Following that, Gaelscoil Durlas played St. Michael’s, Holycross. It was a very competitive match but the Gaelscoil won it in the end.
After that, we faced off v St. Michael’s and had a great win, again against very strong opposition.
Unfortunately, as we won one and lost one, we don’t qualify for the county semi final. Best wishes to the Gaelscoil Durlas in their next match.
It was a pleasure, as always, to bring the ladies to the blitz. They played brilliantly, great teamwork and great encouragement of each other. We’re very proud of you all!
