Cabragh Wetlands 🦆

23rd May 2022

Recently 5th and 6th Class took a trip to Cabragh Wetlands which is just outside Thurles. We learned all about the birds and insects that live in the wetlands and about the evolution of wildlife and humanity over time from Michael. We also got a chance to see what aquatic insects we could find and identify in the lake using nets and an index card. It was such an interesting day and I was amazed by how much fun children can have when you give them a net, some water and a card for identifying whatever they found in the lake! 🐞 We finished our lovely day out with an ice cream and a kick around in the Town Park! 🍦
