Irish author, David Donoghue, visited our school today and met with children from 1st -6th Class! David’s books, Moon Man and Walter Speazlebud, talk about a boy at school who has a gift for spelling backwards! David talked to us about his books and also about how we all have different special gifts and talents! He told us that even an author like him found spelling tricky when he was at school and he even forgets his punctuation sometimes!!! That didn’t stop him though and his gift of ‘noitanigami’ has gotten him where he is today! David kept us busy spelling backwards and we all really enjoyed his visit!
