County Colours Day in School!

20th Nov 2020

This weekend marks the centenary of Bloody Sunday - Saturday, 21st November. The children have been learning about this in school in recent weeks and some have undertaken projects on the historic event in Irish history.

On the fateful day in November, 1920, Tipperary were playing Dublin in Croke Park when 14 people were murdered, including Tipperary corner back Michael Hogan from the Grangemockler Club. The footballers take on Cork in the Munster final and will wear a replica green and white jersey for the final to coincide with the anniversary.

This weekend, the Tipperary Senior Hurling Team and the Tipperary Senior Football team will play in the All-Ireland hurling and football championships. We wish them all good luck!

Here are some pictures of the children proudly wearing their county colours in support of our football, hurling and camogie heroes - up Tipp!!!
