Challenge to Change Exhibition in Kilkenny

20th May 2017

On Thursday, 11th May, 10 children from 3rd to 6th class traveled together to showcase our project on homelessness that we have worked so hard on this year, entitled 'Níl Aon Tinteán Mar do Thinteán Féin'. We were still sleepyheads as we met at school to get the bus to Kilkenny but once we got to the Springhill Court Hotel, we were all in good form and ready to tell everyone about the work we did this year. We were greeted at the door and there was a feeling of excitement as we put on our name badges and were shown to our table. In no time at all and with great team effort, we had a lovely display ready, with lollipops, information sheets, copies of our 'Home' C.D. and our laptop showing the video that we made to go with our song in the hope of raising awareness of homelessness. We had a great day looking at all the other projects of presentation schools and explaining about ours. We also went to drumming or Trócaire workshops, where we learned loads! At the end, we were treated to dinner in the hotel, which we really had lots of, getting seconds....and, for some people, thirds! We represented our school well and our teachers were very proud of us!
